Dr. Williams has designed remedial measures to treat contaminated ground water at several industrial facilities, including the Sugar Creek Refinery in Missouri, the Chevron Facilities in Nigeria, 7 Chevron Service Stations and two Storage Facilities in Puerto Rico, LCP Chemical Site in Cinnaminson, New Jersey, CCC Chemical Site in Kansas City Missouri, Motco Facilities in Texas City, Texas, Aidex Chemical site in Iowa, Tacoma Well 12A site in Tacoma, Washington, a newspaper facility in Washington, D.C., 3 paper production facilities, 5 wood treatment facilities, battery recycling facility, propeller production facility in Cleveland, Ohio, more than 25 manufactured gas plant sites, and more than 50 landfill sites. Dr. Williams has performed research and consulting services in the environmental management area for over 20 years. These activities have included the design,
remediation, or closure for more than 50 industrial facilities, CERCLA studies and designs, preparation of RCRA permits, remedial investigations and feasibility studies, hydrogeologic assessments, odor studies and remedial designs, ground-water and constituent transport modeling, and design of ground-water recovery and treatment
systems. In addition, Dr. Williams has provided expert testimony for several industrial clients on waste management facilities, has development design standards, requirements, and designs for industrial parks and facilities, and has worked with private industry to upgrade existing facilities to meet new environmental requirements, and implement environmental protection strategies.
Dr. Williams has extensive experience in the design, permitting, construction, and operation of solid waste management facilities. This includes landfills, leachate treatment facilities, gas treatment facilities, waste-to-energy facilities, sorting facilities (material recovery facilities), compost plants, medical waste treatment facilities, and hazardous waste treatment facilities. Dr. Williams has provided design, permitting, construction, and/or operations management on more than 250 solid waste management projects in US and around the World.
